One of the biggest events in the Irish literary calendar is the Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards. In its ninth year these awards honour, celebrate & recognize Ireland’s best literary talent.
An exciting awards event held every November & broadcast by RTE , the awards dinner brings together some of Ireland’s, and indeed the world’s, most recognized authors gathering together in a spirit of camaraderie and friendly competition to celebrate the success of the past year.
Brian O’ Driscoll, Graham Norton, Cecelia Ahern and Majella O’ Donnell were some of the winners named at the Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards 2014 held in Dublin on 26 November 2014.
As the sponsor for this event Bord Gáis, chose this award design, as it is so close to its logo the symbol of the gas flame. The logo for the actual event changed this year but still works perfectly against the blue in this contemporary droplet award.
