Star Awards

Having worked with Aontas on the Star Awards trophies for a number of years, this is one of our favorites trophy commissions. The Star Awards celebrates & honours the very important contribution undertaken by adult learning projects throughout Ireland. The commissioned trophies highlight the fantastic work that these projects make to our society, our economy and our local communities.
We work closely with Aontas each year ,whose brief is simple & clear, to create a bespoke award that is uplifting & handmade in Ireland.
A unique trophy is commissioned each year, so it is always a challenge to better the year previosly.
The process, like all our commissioned trophy projects involves a brief being sent out to a number of suitable makers . Designs are then presented to clients.In 2014 Michele Hannans designs were chosen. Michele creates eye catching awards,trophies & gifts using her unique techniques and skills that she has mastered over the last 20 years. The commissioned award design was narrowed down to two and from here colour samples were created to match the clients branding. Michele’s fusion of glass & ceramic always creates a very striking award.
When working with our craftsmen throughout Ireland an important criteria we always have in mind is that the final bespoke trophy will photograph well to ensure maximum impact. If the bespoke award is eyecatching it will catch peoples attention & be photographed by the media & other interested parties, therefore raising awareness of company profiles & campaigns.
