FBD Young Farmers Awards 2014

Working alongside a number of Irish makers allows Created offer a broader variety of choice in handmade awards and trophies. Turning the visions of our clients into a reality is what we are good at. Each year Macra Na Feirme in collaboration with FBD Insurance commission a bespoke design for their annual Young Farmer of the Year Award. The aim of the competition is to recognise and reward the top young farmers in the country.
The first year of this event saw a figurative piece in copper by Liam Butler being used. The next 2 years have seen the use of their logo as a main theme in the brief given. These awards are a great example of where the logo can be the main feature of a commissioned trophy. This years awards were sculpted in wood by Thomas Taafe, a West of Ireland wood carver. We combined the wood with cut & lazered steel.
Congratulations to the FBD Young Farmer of the Year 2014, Sean O’Donnell, from Ballina, Co. Mayo! In second place was Eamonn Burke from Galway and Padraig O’Connor from Limerick
